Internet Acceptable Use Policy Scenarios

The following scenarios are typical of InterGate users. If you do not find a solution to your particular problem among them, please let us know. You can ask the experts who will respond within one business day.

Common Acceptable Use Policy Scenarios:

Scenario 1: A law firm concerned about the legal implications of net abuse requires individual user login to provide an audit trail.
Joanne is IS manager in a law firm specializing in Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). Her users require Internet access for numerous reasons. They regularly exchange emails with their clients. They also use the web for research purposes.

Scenario 2: An SME wants to be sure that employees are surfing responsibly.
Rachid runs a small trucking firm. He enjoys low staff turnover and a high degree of employee loyalty. Rachid’s firm often handles “last mile” delivery for other transportation firms. His employees, therefore, require Internet access to track deliveries from these firms.

Scenario 3: A religious organization whose credibility and funding depend on responsible net use requires site filtering.
Bob is editor-in-chief of a monthly magazine of a religious nature. Bob wants all of his employees to have Internet access to keep abreast of world events, business news and to access other religious web sites.
